From Service to Repair

Servicing Sydney for over 20 years, Dean at ADV is the licensed and insured, air conditioning mechanic, you need, to support your commercial or residential systems.

Our Services

We offer a full range of air conditioning and mechanical services. From servicing and maintenance to removal and repairs. We understand the importance of safety, and our services are designed to ensure the integrity of your home or business air conditioning system.

Servicing

Our unit service includes testing operation, filter check and clean, wire checks, basic clean where dust/dirt/plants may inhibit operation. Where problems are detected, a quote will be produced to repair if we are unable to rectify on the spot.

Maintenance

Think of your unit like your car. ADV recommend you maintain your system with regular servicing. Dean is happy to be your regular contact, servicing your unit 2-4 times annually, depending on your use.

Repair

As a qualified, licensed and insured mechanic, Dean will support you with your system repair needs. As every unit is different, Dean works with the systems manufacturing Tech Support teams to identify problems and recommend a plan of action.

Removal

As Dean is a sole trader, he cannot offer installation services due to the manpower required to complete this type of work, he can however remove your unit neatly for your new unit to be installed.

Troubleshooting

Sometimes you may need to troubleshoot with a professional. "Is it worth repairing or replacing?" or "My unit making a noise, does this mean there is something is wrong?" Dean can support your enquiry to determine if his services are required.

About Dean

Dean has worked as a qualified and licensed commercial and residential air conditioning mechanic for over 20 years.

ADV was born during COVID when Dean was made redundant after working with his previous company, whom he was loyally with from the beginning of his apprenticeship.

Prior to gaining his qualification as a mechanic, Dean always held down after school jobs that gave him responsibility and prepared him for going out on his own.

A dad of a little boy, he hopes one day that his son will be his little apprentice.

Dean is highly skilled, loyal, thorough and will always give his clients the best professional advice possible.

COD for service and maintenance. For any quoted works, 50% deposit with balance on completion.

To be able to quote a repair or removal, I need to complete a full assessment of your unit. My time is billed accordingly.

Working in the rain is dangerous for an air con mechanic as electricity and water do not mix! This can also be highly risky as your unit could get damaged. I will ask if your outdoor unit is protected from the rain, if it is not fully undercover, we will need to reschedule.

As mechanics, we work with thousands of systems. When we are looking to repair a system, we have discussions with your units manufacturing Tech Support team and go through trouble shooting to determine the problem. Once we have completed all actions on advice from Tech Support, further problems may arise. We call this the "domino effect" and it is completely out of the control of a mechanic and the manufacturer.

It depends. We are unable to advise without completing a full assessment of your unit. We will also obtain advice from your units manufacturing Tech Support team to determine if repair is possible, worth it, parts are available etc. Once we have completed this process, we can give you the best possible advice to support your decision.

Not always. Often, I will have to supply a quote to repair and book you in when parts arrive.

I am very accomodating and will try to support you with an appointment within 3 days. Please note, the summer period is a lot busier so timeframes may be different.

I am qualified and experienced to install commercial and residential air conditioning units however I am a sole trader and unable to carry out an installation on my own.
